HEY I'm in GREECE! I got into hydra a few days ago and I'm having so much fun-- I live in the main villa where all the action is and we've already been into town twice. There are donkeys and huge cicadas and all sorts of beautiful houses and the water-- my gosh! the water is so clear and blue here! we had a rainstorm yesterday and it was lovely and cooling and the food is INCREDIBLE. we started classes today-- the instructors are very nice and I already had some ouzo. A DIO.

'Sup, I'm in London. I'm studying for a month in Greece in case you didn't know. Elizabeth and I visited her aunt in Kensington, had lunch, took naps, explored and spent some time in a pub. The weather is fabulous and we head to Greece in the morning! I <3£ y'all.

My cell-phone suddenly has no service in my room (this has never happened before) so when I goto set my alarm for tomorrow morning, it asked me to set the date and then I got all creeped out when I realized it was 06-06-2006 in addition to my phone not working. eep.

so now i'm posting around once a month? lame. but this quarter has been wonderful-- stressful and crazy, but very fulfilling. I turned in my application for the honors program on wednesday. fingers crossed. I got a paid internship at the women's center library! Produce was released yesterday and they featured three of my poems!! it came out looking absolutely wonderful and I went to the release part on my 10 minute rehearsal break (which is incidentally enough time to down two hot pink cupcakes and a glass of champagne). And I went to sushi nobu for lunch two days in a row. sushigasms. Please come see my show! so i disappeared of the face of both the LJ earth and the real earth again-- but that's because i'm working on a show at school: Sanatorium Under the Sign of the Hourglass. We're developing it from short stories by bruno schulz. rehearsals have been keeping me busy almost every night, but i'm loving the cast and the director and it's much fun. but that's where i've been... oh..and you should eventually come see it. Memorial day weekend and the following weekend...there will be a bellydancing lady with a whip! (not me) and now i'm off to work on my guerilla girls presentation...i rented a gorilla mask today. that was strange. oh and KDVS is kicking ass on their fundraiser-- but they still need more help! you can pledge at kdvs.org! i got ed and remy to sing the deceptacon on monday :]

today at guad's I made a horchata latte. it was delectably effective. one more final to go: "ethnic and religious difference on the renaissance stage." then it's laundry-nap-watch-nip/tuck-and-chicken-little-and-eat-pad-thai-chocolate-easter-eggs-and-beer-go-to-carmel/monterey-cute-bed-and-breakfast-AQUARIUM-and-adorable-otter-fishy-penguin-walk-on-foggy-beaches-read-kurt-vonnegut-and-shakin-it-to-dengue-fever-time. this was the first winter quarter that didn't completely suck for me. and i'm taking 3 of the same 4 professors next quarter and hopefully working on a grant with the fourth. huz-HOOTYHOO-zah.

i'm half-way done with my finals and dead day is tomorrow! since my only in class final and my take-home are due on the 23rd, I'm heading to LA for kristi-time and dental work. today was my final scene for an acting class, so I ended up walking around campus with my props: a pillow, a blanket, and a light blue table lamp. I sat down in front of soc-sci and put the lamp on one of the tables and read a newspaper, pretending as if i were very devoted to staying on campus during finals week. i am making pastitio [Greek lasagna]. I find this both amusing and atrocious: devo...redone..by a 12-year-old...ala disney. yes.

my life is weird-- which makes it all the more fun. case in point: today i was rehearsing a scene for a drama class. I'm playing an agoraphobic whose husband takes all her stuff after a separation-- so when an armed burglar breaks in, they have a discourse over where the heck her stuff went. so first, my props include a bunch diet dr pepper cans and a pizza box. and it's kind of hard to find a hiding place for props that look like recyclables. secondly, my scene partner (the burglar) and i decided to shoot eachother with her airsoft gun so we'd up the fear factor...or something. it stung. third, she's supposed to knock a ring out of my hand. I let her do it with the ring I was wearing, which was the ring ryan got me for valentines-- it goes sailing into the corner-- but it's ok, and we keep rehearsing. but i went to lunch and realized later that i left the ring in there, so i run back to the room but the room's windows are blocked out with newspapers on which is written: NUDE DRAWING 1-4 So I couldn't go in...but I studied til 4 and got my ring. However, when I was reading the sign, i saw the model's crack through the crack in the door and i felt like a big perv. the end.

san diego was great. vacation update soon, but i just had to write about my mother. love the lady to death, she's about 5'2" and asian, zany and adorable. but i've only been back home for a day and i'm ready to take the next train back to davis. anyways, my mother has this lovely habit of forwarding me a bamillion pieces of email a day-- not notes from her, that i would welcome, but these are dear abby/dr.phil/young millionaire newsletters that clutter my inbox. She keeps sending me ones about kids dying of alcohol poisoninng on their 21st birthdays, so i had to send her an email promising that i won't drink enough liquor to kill a horse and that even though i read about mothers who drown their children and put their heads in ovens i don't send her those stories. anyways, she just sent me this one called ( LADIES BEWARE- LATEST SCAM ) My dear mother didn't get that it was a joke. she thinks i am seriously in danger of being molested by hot men from the water polo team. i love my silly mommy.

it's not quite 1 am and i just finished by 30-something page script for playwriting. my first, complete non-skit script. it broke my stapler. i am strangely proud of that. also, tonight at 9pm there was a knock on the door. i wasn't expecting ryan and when i answered the door there were 2 girls i didn't recognize. me: hi? girl 1: oh, we've got the wrong house me: oh. haha! i was thinking you were mormons, but i guess it's kind of late for that [awkward pause] girl 2: umm..actually we are. girl 1: we just got the wrong house. me: oh. haha. sorry. uh...goodnight. ...cuz they have halloweenies. Happy Halloween! ( this weekend, we got ready to look SOOO GOOOD! ) Jess, dave, and i dressed up as TEEN GIRL SQUAD (sans whats-her-face, cuz she got MSG'D!!) We went to a few parties...jess turned into an absinthe fairy and i became courtney love (just add a cigarette and smear lipstick). rewind to friday: birthday party! decorated, had a small drunk gathering with yummy ciocolat cake. I got barwear and BOTH seasons of nip/tuck from stephen and robert! went to little prague, watched 2 members of our party get kicked out for "opening a drawer," went to sophia's and then erik's little village cottage.
